Greetings, all! Just joined this community as it seems anti-chem has died...sad! Anyway, I'm a rising junior at Penn...biochem major. I hate chemistry with a passion. I don't know why I chose to do biochem but I'm really incredibly bad at organic chem and am barely surviving biochem right now. I hate enzyme action. I hate organic chem. I especially hate metabolism. And I still have two more years of chem/biochem to trudge through. I'm really looking forward to organic chem lab and Pchem next semester. Right.
The highlight of my semester is when my organic chem professor referred to acetals as protecting groups as "chemical condoms", but that's about it.
